The incident occurred at the intersection of 4th Avenue and Broadway. The driver, identified as 87-year-old Thomas Cahill of Bowling Green, Kentucky, ran the red light, striking pedestrians.
Among the victims, 58-year-old Timothy Wedlock, who was from Australia, was pronounced deceased at the scene. Three other pedestrians were transported to local hospitals with injuries that were described as non-life-threatening.
