STATHAM, GA, UNITED STATES, September 16, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Dave’s Appliance and Home, a locally owned Georgia retailer with showrooms in Statham and Martinez, has opened a wood gallery at its Statham location so customers can choose material for custom pieces in person, then work with owner David Barrett on woodworking he designs and builds himself — in the same visit as shopping luxury kitchen appliances.
What began in 2017 with $1,000 and a basement workshop now includes premium brands such as Sub-Zero, Wolf, and Thermador on the showroom floor, plus 1 of 1 Woodworker custom tables and furniture. At the Statham wood gallery, shoppers can compare grain, color, and character before Barrett designs and builds the piece. Barrett’s work has appeared widely on Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube, drawing attention to the craft customers can also experience in person at the Georgia showrooms.
“I started in my basement with a thousand dollars,” said Barrett. “The goal was never just to sell a box. It’s to turn someone’s imagination into reality — the appliances, the wood I design and build myself, and an experience you can’t get by shopping five different places. People come into our Statham gallery, pick the wood for their piece, and we build it.”
The Statham showroom combines appliance shopping with the wood gallery under one roof. The Martinez showroom offers the same locally owned appliance experience for customers in the Augusta area. Together, the locations give shoppers a path from idea to finished kitchen and custom woodwork without coordinating multiple vendors.
