AUSTIN, TX, UNITED STATES, August 19, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Delfina Athletics has won a 2026 Parents’ Picks Award in two categories for its Kids Swim Parka with Removable Sleeves, a swim parka built to keep young athletes warm through practice and competition. The sleeves detach at the shoulder, so the same parka works on a cold deck in February and over a wet swimsuit in July.
Founder Nina Sadauskas, a three-time Olympic swimmer, spent nearly a year testing samples on her own kids and on swimmers in her community, so that nothing on the finished parka is there by accident. The zippers are YKK, a choice made after the company found they are the first component to fail on a parka an athlete opens and closes several times a session. The interior is fully fleece lined, the shell resists water and wind, and a two-way front zipper lets a swimmer get in and out without pulling anything over a wet head.
Six pockets hold small belongings through training and competition. Two water-resistant hand pockets and two more inside keep anything that cannot get wet away from a damp suit, and two mesh pockets, sized for caps and goggles, separate the wet gear from the dry. The parka comes in pink ombre and blue ombre, colors picked to get kids excited about wearing it to the pool and to help parents spot them from the stands.
