Dr. Sinicropi brings experience from both sides of the operative decision: he operates and also runs a clinic focused on patients for whom an operation may not be the only answer. Dr.Johnson has long held that regenerative medicine is widely misread as a single decisive act, a mistake he attributes to practitioners looking for a shortcut. “They want something in a syringe, and they want to push that syringe, and then there’s a magical cure,”2 he says. He joined Midwest Spine & Brain Institute in 2006, was named President and CEO in 2012, and has since expanded the group to three orthopedic spine surgeons and six neurosurgeons.
