NEW YORK, Oct. 08, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Coinbax today announced it has joined the U.S. Faster Payments Council (FPC). The company is extending its payment controls to the Federal Reserve’s FedNow® Service and The Clearing House’s RTP® network. Coinbax will take part in two FPC work groups, Exception Resolution for Account-Based Payments and Digital Assets in the Financial Industry.

Coinbax provides controls for modern payments. It sits between an institution’s core or payment hub and the payment rail. Before a payment goes out, Coinbax can screen it, check it against liquidity and limit rules, hold it for review, or release it. Every decision is recorded in an audit trail the institution can show its examiners.
FedNow and RTP run 24/7/365. A payment settles in seconds and can’t be pulled back. The liquidity to fund it has to be there on nights, weekends, and holidays, when treasury teams are offline. Coinbax rules run at any hour. A liquidity threshold can hold outgoing payments when a settlement balance runs low and release them once it’s replenished.
Coinbax first built these controls for stablecoins and tokenized deposits, which are also final once settled. In September, the company launched Coinbax Deposits, which lets banks and credit unions accept stablecoin deposits as dollars on their own balance sheets.
“FedNow and RTP never close, and their payments are final the moment they settle,” said Peter Glyman, founder and CEO of Coinbax. “Banks need to manage liquidity at 2 a.m. on a Sunday as reliably as at noon on a Tuesday. The FPC is where the industry works through problems like that together, and we have a lot to learn from its members.”
“We’re pleased to welcome Coinbax to the U.S. Faster Payments Council,” said Stephanie Tisch, SVP, Industry Relations & Events, U.S. Faster Payments Council. “Liquidity management, fraud prevention, and the growing intersection between instant payments and digital assets are important areas of discussion across the payments industry. We look forward to Coinbax contributing its perspective and expertise to these conversations and to the work of the FPC.”
Coinbax will be a sponsor of the FPC Fall Member Meeting, November 4 to 6, 2026, in Overland Park, Kansas.
