Vigience Inc. today launched the Vigience MCP for SAP, a pioneering write-capable MCP integration. It gives AI agents and people using them access to live SAP data, and the ability to post complex transactions, such as quotations and sales orders, based on live SAP pricing and availability. Access runs through curated, customer-specific MCP servers and APIs, under each user’s own SAP permissions, and every change is traceable to the person or agent behind it.

The Vigience MCP for SAP is powered by Vigience Overcast, the SAP-certified real-time integration platform, which has been in production and adopted by enterprise customers worldwide for more than ten years. The new product supports SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud and SAP S/4HANA Private Cloud alike, with no installed footprint on SAP, so it remains unmodified, efficient, and upgrade-ready.

Vigience MCP for SAP

No two SAP systems are alike and they come with tens of thousands of APIs and data sources, so a generic SAP MCP server will confuse LLMs more than help. The Vigience MCP for SAP is an MCP server that is configured to the customer’s own SAP customizing in days, using metadata-driven design-time tools and prebuilt integration content from Vigience. A single Vigience MCP can consolidate multiple SAP systems behind one interface.

Developers can now connect tools such as Cursor or Claude Code directly to SAP data and processes through the Vigience MCP and Vigience Overcast APIs. The experiences they build run on any surface, from Claude and ChatGPT to Agentforce, Copilot, Slack, web and mobile, without a rebuild for each channel.

Every experience inherits the same identity, permissions and compliance rules. Execution is deterministic, AI can prepare a transaction, but nothing posts to SAP without explicit human confirmation or a pre-approved rule.

The Vigience MCP for SAP comes in three editions:

  • For Salesforce customers: Vigience MCP for SAP running on Salesforce

  • For MuleSoft customers: Vigience MCP for SAP running on MuleSoft

  • For SAP only customers: Vigience MCP for SAP running standalone

Combining SAP, Salesforce and other backend systems

For customers running both SAP and Salesforce, the Vigience MCP for SAP merges data and business processes from both systems into one end-user experience. Out of the box it ships more than 100 prebuilt workflows and skills for AI agents, including:

  • Build a self-customizable customer dashboard across SAP and Salesforce systems

  • Create opportunities and quotes based on live SAP pricing and product availability

  • Post complex sales orders based on SAP business rules, pricing and ATP

  • Log calls and post status updates to Salesforce

The Vigience MCP for SAP is fully compatible with Claudeforce and extends it with real-time SAP data and transaction processing.

The Vigience Difference

Every SAP system is highly customized, and that knowledge lives only inside the running systems, which is why an AI trained on public material cannot reproduce it. Vigience has spent more than twenty years inside hundreds of production SAP systems and has encoded that knowledge in more than 200 prebuilt integration components, shipped to every customer and kept current through every SAP and Salesforce release.

“Generic SAP MCPs and API access don’t work. Customers need customized MCPs that unify their specific SAP, Salesforce and other systems, and they need to trust two things: that the data is live and correct, and that every transaction posts reliably, under the right permissions, with a full audit trail. That is why we help customers configure curated, customer-specific MCP servers in days, exposing the right SAP operations and data so AI clients can read and analyze information in real time and post transactions safely back to SAP. Reading enterprise data is easy; acting on it safely is the hard part.”

Markus Stierli, CEO, Vigience Inc.
