“My goal is simple: provide our customers with the best possible products at the best possible prices.”
MEMPHIS, TN, UNITED STATES, September 9, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Castle Retail Group, LLC is pleased to announce the appointment of Ryan Harte as Vice President / Director of Perishables, where he will lead the company’s fresh food strategy across meat, produce, dairy and other perishable departments while strengthening supplier partnerships and delivering exceptional value to customers throughout the Mid-South.
A lifelong Memphian and proud University of Memphis graduate, Harte brings more than 15 years of experience in the food manufacturing industry to Castle Retail Group. Before joining the company, he spent over 15 years with Monogram Foods.
In his new executive leadership role, Harte oversees purchasing, merchandising and supplier relationships for the company’s perishable categories, working closely with store leadership to ensure customers receive the highest quality products at competitive prices. His immediate focus is helping navigate rising food costs, particularly in the meat category, while identifying new opportunities to bring value, freshness and innovation to Castle Retail Group stores.
“My goal is simple: provide our customers with the best possible products at the best possible prices,” said Harte. “By leveraging strong relationships with suppliers and applying the experience I’ve gained throughout my career, we can continue delivering fresh, high-quality foods while helping ease the cost of groceries for families across our communities.”
For Harte, joining Castle Retail Group was an opportunity to work for a company whose values align with his own. “I love working here because of the people,” Harte said. “Castle Retail Group is a family-run business that genuinely cares about its employees, customers and the communities we serve. Here, you’re a name instead of a number, and that family-first culture makes all the difference.”
Looking ahead, Harte is excited to build new supplier relationships, introduce new brands and products, and continue finding innovative ways to strengthen Castle Retail Group’s fresh departments while remaining true to the neighborhood-focused approach that has made the company successful.
“I’m excited to bring more than 15 years of food manufacturing experience to Castle Retail Group,” Harte said. “Having worked across operations, finance, marketing, research and development, and sales, I’ve gained a well-rounded understanding of the industry. I’m looking forward to bringing that perspective to the retail side to help our team and deliver even greater value to our customers.”
When asked what first-time shoppers should experience at a Castle Retail Group store, his answer is simple: “I want people to be impressed that our shelves are full and fresh, our meat department offers exceptional quality, including Certified Angus Beef and partnerships with local farmers, and that our people are friendly.”
With Harte joining the executive leadership team, Castle Retail Group continues its commitment to investing in fresh foods, supporting local communities and providing customers with quality, value and outstanding service every day.
Outside of work, Harte enjoys spending time with his twin children, exploring Memphis parks and pools, and cheering on the Memphis Tigers.
